A much-wanted feature in all emulators is the ability to fully simulate a device, which, until now, was not possible with Windows Phone 7. In the latest version of the development tools, however, the emulator is equip with a new menu that brings up accelerometer and location simulators. The device can be rotated completely on its axis, as shown above, or a "shake" gesture can be simulated. On the location side, the device's location can be preset, or changed in a live fashion, including moving the device every XX seconds. Given as Mango will not be available for developers for an unknown amount of time, this update should prove very useful to developers who are unable to simulate these features on their own.
