Homebrew Registry Viewer for Windows Phone 7 released
Posted on 12-12-10 07:00 pm

For anyone with a Windows Mobile background, you could hardly go a week without digging into File Explorer or a registry editor of some sort. Thankfully, we now have the latter on Windows Phone 7-sortof. Thanks to @twiniico, a homebrew application for WP7 has been released, which allows you to view the registry on your Windows Phone 7 device. You cannot edit anything, unfortunately, but it is certainly a great start and is full of useful information. For example, Windows Phone 7 supports ringtone scripts, just like Windows Mobile.

To install it, download the XAP/source here, make sure your device is (still) unlocked, and use the Application Deployment tool to install it on your phone. Be sure to let us know if you find anything interesting when browsing around.

Also, be sure to thank the original developer, Nicolas (twiniico), for his hard work, and check his Twitter page for more updates.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
