Augmented reality accelerometer toolkit for Windows Phone 7 released

Remember that Augmented Reality toolkit we saw earlier? Well it's finally been released, and we had some fun trying it out. The toolkit allows a user to print out a image of the device with a pattern in it, and then displays the emulator output on the webcam. Further, it includes a library to feed accelerometer data into your application.

While it doesn't support the native WP7 accelerometer drivers (none of these methods do, anyway), it gives the developer an emulator to test their applications accelerometer support. It's easy to set up, too. Download the toolkit, print out the scan sheet, run the emulator, and open up accelkit.exe. The program will take care of the rest.

Learn more or try it for yourself at the developers website.
