Development is hacking in one of it's purest and most basic forms, but this goes beyond any reaches of our normal mindset: Shown above is an accelerometer emulator for the Windows Phone 7 emulator, using augmented reality. We've seen Wiimote and HD2 powered accelerometer emulators, but this system uses a paper cut-out device (similar to the ARSights system for Google Earth) and a webcam to simulate accelerometer data. The description of the video claims to have the toolkit released in a couple of days, and we'll be sure to try it out as soon as it is. Watch the above video for a detailed demonstration.
